J is for Jersey giant

Here's letter J, I'm actually quite fond of this breed, haha!

This breed was developed during the 1880's in New Jersey as an attempt to create a large meat bird that could replace the turkey.
Jersey giants are the largest chicken breed, and they take a while to grow and mature. They also require alot of feed due to their size.
They're a calm and docile breed, and roosters are rarely aggresive. Hens are good layers of large, brown eggs.
